Schedule: Overnight Shift, 2 openings, Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday

Summary: Ensure the health and safety of students and the provision of quality residential
supports and services for students during overnight and early morning hours.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

•  Monitor overnight staff to ensure the safety of students and the implementation of student programs.
•  Conduct and record overnight rounds, at a minimum of twice per shift, of each residence.
•  Monitor staff performance and assist in yearly evaluation process.
•  Ensure employees adhere to all policies/requirements of The Guild for Human Services.
•  Administer and record individuals’ medications, in compliance with MAP.
•  Attend individual’s team meetings as requested.
•  Attend training as required.
•  Transport students to school/appointments.
•  Perform all functions of overnight staff in any Guild Residence.
•  Provide staff training to overnight staff as assigned.
•  Assist in conducting monthly meetings for overnight staff.
•  Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job including weekends, holidays and inclement weather situations.
  • Demonstrated evidence of mature judgment, good interpersonal skills, a desire to enrich individuals' lives and a willingness to learn from skilled professionals.
  • Physical and mental capacity to work in stressful situations and de-escalate individuals who have limited cognition and complex needs
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is an essential function of the job.?Pass Guild Driving test to access Guild vehicles for transportations of individuals.
  • The ability to implement crisis intervention techniques as necessary, including Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (via certification through CPI).

Requirements

  • Associate's degree preferred
  • At least two years of experience in a direct-care facility, preferably in a residential setting with a similar population; education may be substituted for one year of experience
  • Ability to demonstrate supervisory and administrative skills
  • Undergo background record check process
  • MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification or the ability to obtain MAP certification within first 90 days of employment
