Until Filled - Contact parents and families through phone calls, home visits and meetings at school to encourage participation in school activities and events.
- Provide information to parents concerning district policy and procedures such as registration, PTO, curriculum, assessment, discipline, etc.
- Contact outside community agencies for seeking resources and activities that will increase the participation of English Language Learner families in school and parent training opportunities.
- Establish a parent resource room containing information for parents relating to registration, parent teacher communication, student success and school and community resources.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned by the district or school.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish
- Must have flexibility to work some evenings during parent and/or school events
- Experience in the use of technology and the use of Office Word/Excel, Powerschool
- Must meet the requirements for paraprofessionals:
- Completed at least 2 years of study at an institution of higher education; or
- Obtained an associate's (or higher) degree; or
- Have taken and met minimum score on ParaPro Assessment
