Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Substitute Custodian. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The Substitute Custodian will fill in for regular custodial staff as needed, ensuring that all areas of the facility are properly maintained and sanitized.

Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other common areas.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored correctly.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for events and activities.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of custodial closets and storage areas.
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests as needed.
- Collaborate with other staff members to support the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the facility.
- Adhere to all school policies and regulations while on duty.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial or cleaning experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety practices.
- Flexibility to work on short notice and availability for various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Background check and pre-employment screenings with acceptable results required prior to employment.
