JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently accepting resumes for an experienced Class 1 Driver for our Kitimat, BC operations. The shift schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 8-5pm with overtime available.
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Job Summary:
The successful applicant will be expected to perform the following:
- Operate Class 1 vehicles for local deliveries & pick ups, occasional highway/off-road trips, and site-specific work
- Safely transport goods to designated locations
- Assist with loading/unloading of materials at the warehouse
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documents
- Ensure all safety regulations and standards are followed
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles / power units
- A degree of flexibility to work a variety of shifts/assignments as business demand arises.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries

Qualifications:
In order to be qualified, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Valid Class 1 license
- B-Train/deck and winter driving experience required
- Experience in operating a tanker is an asset
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
- Driver's abstract must show no driving-related criminal code convictions in the prior 36 months; no more than 2 moving violations in the prior 12 months; and no more than 3 moving violations in the prior 36 months. The date of conviction and the current date will be the date used to determine time periods
- Previous warehouse experience a plus
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Proficient in English (both reading and writing)
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
