Job Description

CDL Class B Driver - Construction Site

Driver will primarily be responsible for operating a shuttle bus to safely transport passengers to and from a heavy industrial construction site prior to and after shift is completed

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES:
•    Safely transport company employees via shuttle bus to and from the construction site from the dedicated parking area nearby
•    Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, log defects, and report any issues promptly to Project Superintendent or Project Manager
•    Maintain records of maintenance and repair activities
•    Interact professionally with passengers, customers and other employees at various locations
•    Assist with other tasks on construction site as needed and requested by the Project Superintendent
•    Assist with building and grounds maintenance as requested
•    Adhere strictly to all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations
•    Operate vehicle in a safe manner; obeying all federal, state, and local traffic laws and posted speed limits at all times

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
•    Must possess a valid and current Class A Commercial Driver’s License or Class B Driver’s License with Passenger endorsement
•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience 
•    Clean Driving Record and insurability
•    High school diploma or GED required
•    Ability to pass a D.O.T. physical examination 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•    Be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds for long periods of time
•    Coordinate eye-hand movements with control and precision
•    Use hands and fingers fully; reach for, manipulate, and feel objects; stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
•    Climb and maintain body balance on ladders and see and hear well (either naturally or with correction)
•    Stoop, lay, bend or squat for long periods of time
•    Passed DOT medical exam

WORKING CONDITIONS:
•    May be exposed to fumes, dust or other airborne particles, and loud noises on a heavy industrial construction site
•    May be exposed to extreme outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity

OTHER:
•    Some overtime, shiftwork, holidays and weekends may be required
