Are you ready to take charge and bring projects to life? As a Superintendent, you’ll be the driving force behind day-to-day operations on the jobsite—making sure everything runs smoothly, safely, and on schedule from preconstruction through completion. You’ll lead the charge in coordinating subcontractors, managing materials and timelines, and keeping quality and safety front and center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee On-Site Operations: Manage daily construction activities to ensure projects stay on schedule, meet specifications, and follow safety protocols.
  • Lead Teams & Coordinate Trades: Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Maintain strong relationships with owners and partners by providing timely, clear updates on progress and expectations.
  • Ensure Quality & Safety: Uphold top-tier quality standards and enforce safety procedures through regular inspections and meetings.
  • Manage Schedules & Budgets: Develop, track, and adjust schedules and costs to keep projects on time and within budget.
  • Document & Problem Solve: Keep accurate daily records and tackle issues head-on to keep the jobsite running without delays.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.  
  • 7+ years of experience working as a Superintendent in the construction industry required. 
  • 7+ years of supervisory experience required.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Manage project sizes between $10 million - 40 million.
  • Knowledge of and ability to follow OSHA protocols, as well as the ability to learn and follow Hutton safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of building codes, design, site control, inspection procedures, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency with technology including tablets, email, and construction software.
  • OSHA 10 certification required or must be obtained within a set time after hire.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Possess a valid unrestricted Driver’s License.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience with the following software: Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite and project management software, such as Asta or Microsoft Project. 
  • Commercial construction experience, preferably with ground-up builds.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • CPR/First-Aid certification.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work out of town multiple days per week for multiple months as needed.
  • Work in severe elements including extreme heat or cold. 
  • Walk on uneven surfaces frequently.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to do the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb and squat in cramped or awkward positions when necessary.
