Shift: Day Shift (6:00am – 2:30pm)
Status: Part-Time; 6 shifts per biweekly pay period
Weekends: Every Other Weekend
Holidays: Every Other Holiday
We currently have an opportunity for an energetic team member in our Nutrition Services department. This position is responsible for the operation and coordination of ware washing requirements of the department to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness standards are met. This role also requires strong customer service skills and will be accountable for meeting the high expectations that our patients, visitors, and community desire. This position reports to the Executive Chef.
Requirements
Experience:
- 1-2 years in food service experience preferred, ideally in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
- Washes and sanitizes all dishes, carts, pots and pans in kitchen and cafeteria
- Prepares and sets up tray line and transports carts to and from nursing units
- Must be willing to learn other department related functions as needed
- To help with serving of employees and visitors in the cafeteria
Skill/Ability:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals of all ages
- Ability to successfully manage a variety of tasks as well as multi tasks
- Ability to exercise good judgment
- Function productively in a team environment, and be able to work independently
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
- Must be able to pull, push and bend.
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
