- A strong academic record, both undergraduate and graduate.
- Substantial knowledge of middle school curriculum and instruction, special education law, intellectual curiosity, strength in staff development, a respect for children and a love of learning.
- Experience with co-teaching and similar inclusion models, as well as robust programming for students with a variety of needs and profiles.
- Knowledge of the PPT process and developing IEPs.
- Displaying grace and sensitivity when working with families of disabled students.
- Understanding of developmental needs of middle school students.
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, administrators and the community.
