The Life Enrichment Assistant assists in planning and leading a variety of activity programs designed to meet the resident’s social, physical, mental, emotional, and sensory needs. Job Details:

  • Hours - Part-time, 24 hours per week
  • Pay - $17 - $18 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting Activity Coordinator with planning, promotion, and facilitating/leading each event or program.
  • Assess resident’s recreational and social needs.
  • Support development of monthly Activity Calendar of Events.
  • Lead small, large and one on one activity programs with seniors.
  • Research and recommend to Coordinator entertainment/educational speakers/church representatives, etc.
  • Support coordination of transportation needs to outside events/programs in accordance with established policies and procedures. Accompany residents on field trips as assigned. 
  • Work cooperatively with assigned volunteers and direct their assignments to support the resident programming. 
  • Maintain the bus interior and exterior.   
  • Report maintenance needs in timely manner. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-year activities experience in independent retirement, assisted living, adult day services or long-term care facility serving a senior population. 
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to use basic Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) computer programs.
  • Creativity in developing and planning activity programs.
  • Group leadership and interpersonal skills to lead one on one, small, and large group activities. 
  • Able to make responsible choices and decisions, and act in a resident’s best interest.
