Position Overview
Dynatect Manufacturing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Intern to join our Supply Chain team. This internship is designed for a junior or senior-level college student interested in gaining hands-on experience in procurement, supplier management, and supply chain operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Purchasing Intern will support daily purchasing activities, assist with supplier communications, and help maintain accurate purchasing data. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and exposure to real-world supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work safely and courteously, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Support the procurement process by researching potential suppliers, obtaining quotes, and comparing prices and quality of products.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze market trends and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Aid in vendor communication and relationship management, ensuring timely responses and fostering positive relationships.
- Contribute to the optimization of procurement procedures and documentation.
- Assist in generating reports and data analysis to support decision-making processes within the department.
- Undertake special projects and tasks as assigned by the purchasing team.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with good analytical abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Interest in manufacturing, procurement, or supply chain operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or coursework related to purchasing or supply chain
- Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus
- Be a Junior or Senior in college
