Key responsibilities

  • Food preparation:

    Wash, peel, chop, and prepare a variety of ingredients, measuring and mixing them according to recipes. 

  • Cooking:

    Cook food using various methods such as baking, frying, grilling, and steaming, and ensure all dishes meet quality standards. 

  • Plating and presentation:

    Arrange and garnish food for an appealing presentation and ensure the final product aligns with established guidelines. 

  • Kitchen maintenance:

    Keep the kitchen, workstations, and equipment clean, sanitized, and organized. 

  • Inventory and ordering:

    Monitor food stock, check for freshness, and place orders for new ingredients as needed. 

  • Compliance:

    Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and nutrition guidelines. 

  • Collaboration:

    Work with other kitchen staff and waitstaff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction. 

Essential skills and qualifications

  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.

  • Proficiency with various kitchen equipment.
