About the Role
- Hybrid working model – 3 days per fortnight working from home
- Monday to Friday, standard business hours
Reporting to the Payroll Manager ANZ, this role is well‑suited to someone who enjoys analysis, problem‑solving, and working with numbers. If you’re curious, detail‑oriented, and motivated to learn, this role offers strong development opportunities.
You will work extensively with Dayforce, our global payroll and people platform, becoming a key contributor to weekly payroll processing and core HR system functions. The role also provides hands‑on exposure to Dayforce Payroll, Workforce Management, and Talent modules, allowing you to build strong system capability across multiple areas.
Key responsibilities include:
- New team member setup and system maintenance
- Reviewing rosters and timesheets to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Responding to payroll enquiries via the service desk ticketing system in a timely and professional manner
- Supporting leaders to become confident and effective users of Dayforce
- Ensuring payroll compliance with relevant Australian and New Zealand awards and legislation
- Preparing payroll, people data, and metrics reporting
About you:
- Minimum 1+ years’ end‑to‑end payroll processing experience
- Experience interpreting industrial instruments, including Modern Australian Awards (essential)
- Previous experience with Dayforce is advantageous but not mandatory (training provided)
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Intermediate skills in MS Excel and Word
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Proven problem‑solving capability and ability to work independently
- Clear and professional English communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
- Customer‑focused mindset with a genuine desire to support team members
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work accurately in a fast‑paced environment
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia, with eligibility to work without sponsorship.
