Description
Under the supervision of the Assistant Controller - Finance, the Accounts Payable Assistant Manager is responsible for the Accounts Payable process. The Accounts Payable Assistant Manager ensures that vendor invoices and expense reimbursements are processed accurately and in a timely manner consistent with Company policies. The Accounts Payable Assistant Manager ensures that staff are properly trained and establishes procedures to ensure department assignments are completed within the established time constraints.
Requirements
- Prioritize staff task assignments to meet deadlines;
- Investigate and resolve employee performance issues using corrective actions that comply with regulatory requirements and company policy;
- Ensure that the electronic document scanning process functions as intended;
- Participate in group work tasks and assist staff with their assigned tasks when necessary;
- Manage Accounts Payable month end account closing procedures;
- Coordinate activities with Accounting Department management;
- Implement the compliance and safety training program according to company policies.
- Schedule staff and assign job tasks to ensure the efficient use of resources;
- Design and implement training processes to ensure staff are proficient at their assigned job duties;
- Ensure that department procedures comply with Company policies;
- Manage interactions with other departments to ensure consistent, accurate information is provided;
