You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build innovative solutions that improve patient care, optimize healthcare workflows, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulatory requirements.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Solutions Architecture: Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to define system architecture and design solutions that align with business needs and technical requirements.
  • API Development and Integration: Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party healthcare systems to ensure seamless data exchange and real-time access to health information.

  • Telemedicine / In-Person Interface Design & Development: Develop telemedicine
applications, enabling virtual care capabilities such as video consultations, remote patient monitoring, and integrated messaging systems.
  • Cloud & DevOps: Leverage cloud platforms (Azure) for deployment, scaling, and monitoring of applications. Automate deployment pipelines.
  • Healthcare Data Management: Implement efficient and secure data management solutions for sensitive healthcare information that comply with HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR standards.
  • Healthcare Compliance: Ensure all applications are HIPAA compliant, secure and adhere to industry regulatory standards. Ensure data security and patient privacy are prioritized in every phase of development.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform unit testing, integration testing, and continuous testing for code quality. Ensure that applications are highly functional, reliable, and secure across both backend and frontend.
  • Documentation & Support: Maintain thorough documentation for the codebase, APIs, workflows, and telemedicine features. Provide ongoing support for deployed applications to ensure smooth operation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in Python, React, and healthcare IT to enhance functionality and security of healthcare solutions.
  • AI: Building and supporting AI plug-ins and extensions to enhance user interaction with data, creating and training models, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Scribe: Integrating ambient scribe tools (i.e. DAX, Nuance, or Canvas Hyperscribe) into EHR workflows.
