Hi-Rel Test Technician

Job Description:

  • Perform electrical testing (DC, RF, and microwave) on diode and related devices in accordance with Test Plans
  • Set up both manual and automated test equipment to execute pass/fail electrical tests
  • Perform electrical testing across various temperature extremes
  • Troubleshoot test setups and support operators with daily issues
  • Organize and schedule work based on backlog to meet customer ship dates
  • Collaborate with engineering and evaluation teams for die selection
  • Work with the Calibration group to ensure all equipment maintains current calibration status
  • Perform environmental testing including:
  1. Fine leak testing
  2. Gross leak testing (bubble and dye penetrant)
  3. Constant acceleration
  • Load production and engineering lots into burn‑in for qualification, screening, and life testing
  • Monitor burn‑in setups and runs for consistency and performance
  • Perform solder dip on various device packages
  • Conduct pre‑cap visual inspection to MIL/Aerospace and customer requirements

Education and Experience:

  • 4 - 6 years’ experience in manufacturing testing
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow oral and written guidelines as well as read & understand Procedures, Test Specifications and Test Plans
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Computer skills helpful, specifically SAP and MS office applications
  • Knowledge of various electrical and microwave test measurements preferred
  • Knowledge of ESD procedures preferred
  • Knowledge of various MIL/Aerospace and ISO specifications is a plus

The Hourly Range for this position is $20– $26 per hour. Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
