POSITION SUMMARY

The Paid Media Intern supports the Media team with process-driven planning, performance reporting, and organized team operations. We’re looking for an agile intern with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills who can comb through data and translate audience, competitive, and performance information into digestible insights that support media rationale. Throughout the program, the intern will assist with campaign activation, including programmatic trafficking support, optimization tracking, and custom content performance, and will help keep the team running smoothly through Box organization and meeting upkeep.

The Summer Internship Program at Burrell Communications Group runs from June 1 through July 31. It is a paid opportunity at $18 per hour for up to 40 hours per week. Interns must be based in the city where it all began for Burrell, Chicago, IL, for the duration of the program. Please note that Burrell Communications Group is unable to provide visa sponsorship or support work authorization requests for these roles.

  • Help organize campaign documentation and performance summaries, including keeping working files current and easy to navigate for the broader team.

  • Stay informed on emerging media trends and technologies, and share relevant learnings with the team.

  • Use Excel to comb through datasets and pull clean, digestible nuggets (audience, competitive, performance) that support internal and client-facing rationale decks.

  • Assist with operational support that helps the media team move faster: organizing Box folders, filing assets correctly, and keeping meetings/calendars/notes up to date.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clear written communication skills and the ability to summarize data into key takeaways.

  • Curious, agile, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment.
