Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

1. Empty all dust collectors throughout the facility on a daily basis and separate hoppers.
2. Empty scrap barrels and trash containers.
3. Daily maintenance, minor repairs, rebuilds, replacement of sheaves, belts, bearings, seals, solenoid valves, etc.
4. Check to ensure dust collection equipment is operating correctly
5. Daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual PM's of all collectors and transport systems generated through the e-Maintenance system. This includes lubrication, data collection on vibration, temperature, photohelic, and RPM readings. Structural inspection, dye checks, bag and cage replacement, duct work inspection and cleaning.
6. Perform HVAC PM's generated through the e-Maintenance system.
7. Clean and replace HVAC system filters. (These range from weekly to monthly)
8. Responsible for filter inventory
9. Perform PM tasks generated through the e-Maintenance system. Includes general housekeeping, vacuuming and mopping of the switch gear, motor control, furnace capacitor bank, power supply, furnace pump and boiler rooms (These range from weekly to monthly)
10. Manage the waste sand / slag roll off hoppers
11. Aid in the separation of metal from the sand roll off hoppers
12. Maintain clean and organized yard outside the foundry including parking lots, storage areas, and storage yards East and South of Building 13.
13. Demo out of commission equipment into the appropriate metal waste hopper or staging area for disposal.
14. Organize plastic storage totes and drums. Report inventory for appropriate pick-up of empty containers.
15. Review open work orders as assigned daily.
16. Enter statistical data when required
17. Enter notes as required
18. Close completed work orders daily.
19. Responsible for clearing of snow / ice and salting of sideways and other area as designated.
20. Performs general plant, building, and grounds maintenance as required.
21. Back up janitor
22. Assist maintenance as designated
23. Load and unload material from trucks
24. Operator fork lift
25. Operate floor sweeper when requested
26. Operate skid loader as required
27. Adheres to 6s and safety procedures.
28. Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS (BACKGROUND/SKILL/TRAINING):

1. High school diploma or GED is required.
2. Demonstrates basic mechanical abilities.
3. Able to use power and hand tools as needed.
4. Able to operator power lift trucks, tow motors and other material handling equipment.
5. Detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
6. Read and understand work orders and equipment manuals.
7. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills; Able to work independently or as a team.
8. Reads and understands English.
9. Able to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs routinely; Up to 75lbs occasionally.
10. Able to work over-time as required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The work is primarily performed in a non-temperature controlled; smoke-free manufacturing environment. Noise level is moderate to loud. The individual is exposed to extremes in temperature on a regular basis. Employee is required to wear designated PPE at all times while in the plant. Work may be performed near equipment with moving parts or require use of some chemicals and resigns.
