    Centrally located on Interstate 94 less than 25 miles northwest of Maple Grove and 30 miles southeast of Saint Cloud, Monticello is home to five brick and mortar schools and two nature-based facilities serving more than 4,000 students annually. Monticello consistently ranks in the top 50 school districts in the state as measured by a number of organizations and metrics, and performs above the state average in graduation rates, test scores, and early college opportunities.


    Position:
    Nutrition Service opportunity with Monticello Schools
    This position is located at the Little Mountain Elementary School with the hours of 9:30 am - 1:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

    Job Summary:
    Responsible for the preparation, serving and clean-up of nourishing and attractive meals for School District students, staff and guests by complying with all applicable sanitation and health standards and following established food production programs and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
    • Secondary education preferred
    • ServSafe certification training required


    Essential Skills Required:

    • Demonstrated knowledge of food service procedures, practices and equipment
    • Demonstrated knowledge of federal/state health/nutrition requirement
    • Demonstrated knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as labels, safety and procedure manuals
    • Knowledge and application of computer skills
    • Written and verbal skills
    • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations (i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
    • Ability to work with money and accurately make change.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
    • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

     

    Rate of Pay: $16.89 - 23.40/Hour based on experience
