Hours: Vary based on instructional and campus needs

About the Role:

The Dental Assistant Instructor / Externship Coordinator delivers classroom and lab instruction, guides students in achieving their educational goals, and models professional behaviors. This role is key to maintaining a positive, engaging, and compliant learning environment.

What You�ll Do:

  • Teach and assess students in classroom and lab settings

  • Prepare lesson plans and maintain instructional materials and equipment

  • Monitor attendance, grade assessments, and submit reports on time

  • Maintain clean and organized classrooms and lab areas

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies

  • Participate in faculty development, meetings, and other assigned duties

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license

  • Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program (minimum 900 contact hours)

  • Minimum 4 years of in-field dental assisting experience

  • Teaching experience preferred but not required

  • Degree or post-secondary education as required by state/accreditation
