    East Grand Forks School District is seeking applicants for Long Term Elementary Substitute Teacher

    Terms:
    Beginning September 1, 2026
    Compensation - Per Master Agreement
     

    East Grand Forks, MN is a city with a population of approximately 9,000 and located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota. It borders Grand Forks, ND and is very close to the University of North Dakota and Northland Community and Technical College. The district's K-12 enrollment is approximately 1900 students as well as a thriving preschool program. The district has four separate school buildings housing grades PreK-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. The district also boasts a thriving Preschool Program and lifelong learning opportunities through Community Education.

    Qualifications: 
    Current and valid Minnesota Teaching license; or ability to obtain said license


    Basic Function of the Position:
    The primary responsibility of the position would be to ensure that students continue to receive quality education instruction during the absence of their regular teacher.
    1. Instruction: delivering lesson plans following existing curriculum
    2. Classroom Management: maintain a positive, productive environment while managing student behavior
    3. Lesson Planning: prepare lesson plans for the duration of the regular teachers leave of absence and being able to adapt based on student needs and learning styles
    4. Assessment and Communication: evaluate student progress and communicate with student, parents and other staff of that progression
    5. Professionalism: attend all staff meetings; uphold school policies and standards; maintain a professional demeanor
