This is a full-time, grant-funded position focused on launching and assessing the viability of a Rural Home Share Program within the Governor Wentworth Regional School District. The role blends strategic research, intensive community organizing, and direct service coordination, with an expected schedule of approximately five hours per day, five days per week for 35 weeks. No benefits are included with this grant funded position.

The Program Coordinator will lead both the design and evaluation of the program during its foundational year.  This includes conducting a comprehensive, data-driven feasibility study to inform long-term investment decisions, while simultaneously recruiting, vetting, and preparing to match community partners with families experiencing homelessness in the district. The Coordinator will serve as the primary driver of this start-up phase, responsible for building community capacity, documenting social and economic impact, and preparing for the safe placement of 8-10 families.

This is a high-autonomy role that requires exceptional initiative, meticulous organization, and outstanding interpersonal skills.

    Key Responsibilities

The Coordinator will serve as a community connector, leading the recruitment of potential host partners through presentations, relationship-building, and targeted outreach to key community groups. A central responsibility of this role is to identify and assess the legal considerations and implications related to implementing a Rural Home Share Program.

The position also requires strong analytical and research skills to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study, culminating in a formal report to be completed and presented by September 30, 2026.

    Qualifications & Attributes

The ideal candidate will thrive in an autonomous, entrepreneurial environment and bring strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to manage a complex, multi-phased project timeline that integrates research, community engagement, and implementation.

The successful candidate will be a compassionate and experienced professional, ideally with a background in direct service or work with vulnerable populations. As the program's primary representative, the Coordinator must be a strong communicator, comfortable with public presentations, stakeholder engagement, and detailed written reporting.

Meticulous organization and attention to detail are essential, particularly for record-keeping, compliance, and systems development during this foundational program development stage.
