Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and dependable crew with strong carpentry experience to construct exterior steps and landings for residential projects, including manufactured homes and ADUs. This role focuses on building safe, level, and code-compliant access systems that meet company quality standards and pass inspections on the first attempt.
 
We are hiring for this position in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area.


Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and dependable crew with strong carpentry experience to construct exterior steps and landings for residential projects, including manufactured homes and ADUs. This role focuses on building safe, level, and code-compliant access systems that meet company quality standards and pass inspections on the first attempt.
 
We are hiring for this position in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area.


We believe in fair and competitive pay. The final hourly rate will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant years of experience, specialized skill sets, and technical expertise within the industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Construction of exterior wood-framed and concrete-poured steps and landings

  • Layout and execution of work based on plans, elevations, and site conditions

  • Installation of framing, decking, threads, risers, and handrails/guardrails

  • Installation of forms and pouring of concrete for concrete steps and landings

  • Ensure all work meets local building code requirements (rise/run, clearances, safety)

  • Site prep including grading, leveling, and anchoring of structures

  • Coordination with Field Services Supervisor and Construction Managers to align on schedule and sequencing

  • Identify and communicate field issues or conflicts early

  • Maintain clean and safe job sites

  • Support inspection readiness and complete corrections if required



Requirements & Qualifications:
  • 3+ years experience in carpentry or residential construction

  • Proven experience building stairs, decks, or similar structures

  • Basic understanding of building codes related to steps and landings

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

  • Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively

  • Clean driving record (required to travel between job sites)

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work outdoors in various conditions

  • Willingness to commute to different locations and sites
