Role Overview

We are seeking a Consulting Manager, BAU Delivery Coordinator/ Project Manager – Investment Operations to support day-to-day service delivery for mission-critical investment operations platforms. This role sits at the intersection of business operations, technology, and stakeholder management, owning first-line triage, incident coordination, backlog governance, and continuous improvement across BAU delivery.

The ideal candidate brings strong capital markets domain expertise, hands-on techno-functional skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, production-driven consulting environment, partnering closely with front-office, operations, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for BAU operational and technology issues, performing end-to-end techno-functional triage.
  • Diagnose issues, determine ownership, and coordinate resolution across functional and technical teams.
  • Drive timely closure of BAU items, ensuring adherence to SLAs and operational commitments.
  • Identify and escalate urgent, time-sensitive deliverables to maintain continuity of business operations.
  • Lead critical incident management during US business hours, including:
    • Cash breaks and reconciliation issues
    • Security master and data exceptions
    • Client reporting discrepancies
    • Application and system outages
  • Ensure structured communication, rapid resolution, and post-incident follow-up.
  • Serve as a key liaison between investment operations, technology teams, and delivery leadership.
  • Provide clear, timely status updates and manage escalations effectively.
  • Lead daily end-of-day stand-ups to review progress, address blockers, and plan next-day priorities.
  • Facilitate monthly BAU team meetings, including agenda creation, coordination, and documentation of actions.
  • Partner with Development Delivery Coordinators to optimise task allocation during BAU capacity availability.
  • Enforce quality and compliance of JIRA tickets, ensuring mandatory fields and workflow standards are met.
  • Own BAU backlog review, prioritisation, and allocation to improve throughput and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Support enterprise initiatives through ad hoc analysis and BAU task management.
  • Develop and maintain delivery dashboards, tracking KPIs and providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Create and maintain post-incident documentation capturing root causes, resolutions, and preventive actions.
  • Publish knowledge artifacts to central repositories (KEDB) to enable reuse and reduce repeat incidents.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience Project Management in capital markets or investment operations, preferably in a buy-side or consulting environment.
  • Deep functional expertise in at least two of the following Investment Operations domains:
    • Data Management
    • Investment Accounting
    • Performance Measurement
    • Fund Treasury
    • Client Reporting
  • Strong understanding of asset management operations, including product structures, account hierarchies, and performance workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle / SQL for data analysis and issue resolution.
  • Experience with enterprise data integration technologies (ETL, APIs).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience managing stakeholder escalations.
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced, consulting delivery environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Eagle Investment Systems platform or similar investment operations platforms.
  • Prior experience supporting production or BAU operations within Financial Services technology organisations.

Compensation & Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000 USD annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to applicable plan terms.
