Job Description

Position Overview:

 

As a Fueler, you are responsible for ensuring that all tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers are fueled at all times.  This position requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety protocols.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately recording and documenting fuel dispersal
  • Loading and unloading diesel fuel while staying compliant with state and federal regulations
  • Taking samples and monitoring fuel level
  • Handling all pertinent records accurately and legibly
  • Reporting all safety issues promptly
  • Following directions in print form and/or by computerized display
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
  • Flexibility to work various or additional shifts, as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Environment:

  • Varying external weather conditions and temperatures

 

Schedule:

  • Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 PM-6:30 AM
  • 10:00 pm – 6:30 am
  • $24-$26 per hour
  • $5.00 shift differential

 

Experience:

  • CDL-A License required (Valid & Active) with Tanker and Hazardous Materials Endorsements
  • 21+ years or older

 

Skills:

  • Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; drive for accountability of safe practices throughout the shift; secure adequate rest between work assignments, and abide by all DOT regulations
  • Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting, and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights, including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature-controlled environments; the ability to operate required material handling equipment – getting on and off equipment throughout the  shift
  • Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders daily
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders promptly; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Working in a team-based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely manner  and with the highest quality
  • Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectives
