    Healthcare Specialist Substitutes
    Substitutes are a integral part of the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. We rely and appreciate the dedication of our substitutes. Make a difference in the lives of students! And all with a flexible schedule! 

    LPN hourly rate: $24.88
    RN hourly rate:   $27.42

     

     
    • Healthcare specialists work 7.75 hours per day. The start and end times will vary based on the location.

    The first step in becoming a substitute is to first fill out the online application. 

     
    1. Complete an online application. 
    2. National Background Check: You will be contacted by email with instructions on requesting the required online background check.  There is currently a fee for this process, payable online with a personal credit or debit card. 
    3. Background Completion: Once your background has been approved, you will be contacted to schedule orientation.
