Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented leader to serve as our Specialist I, Standards. In this key role you will facilitate the development and continuous improvement of NSF technical standards and procedures in the areas of food safety, water treatment, and sustainability. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist Standards management with ANSI & SCC compliance and audit activities.
  • Edit standards, policies, and related documents for format, grammar and consistency.
  • Provide support to the Secretariats of NSF Joint Committees and Public Health Council by:
    • scheduling and facilitating task group activities; 

    • writing and editing standards for publication; 

    • planning and promoting stakeholder meetings and events; and

    • ensuring compliance with ANSI and NSF policies and procedures

  • Assist in the administration of the NSF Online Workspace websites for NSF committees and administer NSF Committee member database.
  • Provide quarterly reports on new projects and milestones.

  • Identify and implement process improvements in NSF standards development process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience

  • Excellent organization and documentation skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Knowledge of project management tools and practices

  • Ability to use complex spreadsheets and other project management tools to track multiple project goals
