Position Overview


The Investment Operations and Administration Manager will serve as a key partner and operational leader within the Investments team, helping to ensure the investments function operates efficiently and effectively. This role will help streamline and manage priorities, drive critical initiatives, identify and implement operational enhancements and process improvements, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to advance the investment function’s goals.


This position is hybrid based out of our office in Alpharetta, GA.

Duties and Responsibilities


Investment Operations & Administrative Management



  • Partners with the CIO and Investments leadership to organize, prioritize, and advance key initiatives and operational objectives

  • Owns the coordination of leadership workflow for the CIO’s office, including agendas, briefing materials, follow-ups, and tracking of action items to ensure progress and accountability

  • Creates and maintains executive leadership reports, communications, presentations, as well as reports for internal and external stakeholders

  • Coordinates and oversees work efforts with external, third-party vendors and collaborators for efficiency, timeliness, and effective partnership

  • Maintains and continuously improves documentation, policies, procedures, and compliance-related processes

  • Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance and drive efficiencies across the investments platform

  • Supports budgeting, planning, and other administrative functions as needed

  • Partners with colleagues to streamline scheduling of thought-leadership sessions, travel, and meeting logistics


Project & Strategic Initiatives



  • Leads and/or supports initiatives that advance the Investment team’s strategic goals and operational priorities

  • Partners with senior leadership to translate strategic priorities and objectives into actionable work plans, establish timelines, and track progress to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved

  • Collaborates with other departments (legal, finance, donor relations, etc.) to ensure alignment, operational readiness, and effective execution

  • Manages operational work efforts of new and existing investment vehicles to ensure compliance, risk mitigation and drive efficiency and scalability across the investments platform

  • Conducts research, analysis, and preparation for meetings, conferences, and external engagements


Liaison & Communication



  • Serves as central coordination point for the Investment Team with internal stakeholders ensuring accurate and timely information flow to support decision-making and strategy development

  • Helps translate strategic vision into structured operational plans and initiatives across the investment organization

  • Represents the CIO and Investments Team in select meetings, ensuring consistent messaging and follow-through on commitments

  • Conducts research, analyses, and prepares executive-ready strategic briefs to support long-term planning and operational decisions

Education



  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance or a related field

  • Advanced degree or professional certification is preferred


Experience



  • A minimum of 6+ years’ experience in consulting, program management, or financial services, with exposure to both operations and strategy

  • Experience or strong interest in investment management

  • A proven track record of translating high-level vision into actionable work plans and tracking milestones for a leadership team

  • Experience in preparing client-ready materials; excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills a must

  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and deadlines

  • Strong relationship management skills; ability to influence and collaborate across teams without direct authority


Knowledge Base



  • Computer skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Proven aptitude for “real time” problem diagnosis and solving

  • Some working knowledge of charitable, non-profit, foundation, and/or donor related subject matters

  • Strong sense of integrity, discretion, and professionalism

  • Able to perform duties independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
