- 2 years of previous experience teaching and/or coursework in an assignment within the last 3 years
- Comprehensive knowledge, understanding, and skill in the content area/assignment
- Knowledge and experience with Google Suite
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency and literacy in English and Spanish are preferred but not required
- Assist with oversight of curriculum and instruction for Connections and ESY programming throughout the district
- Mentorship, modeling, and coaching for both special and general educators in the areas of autism and behavior support, especially within the Connections program
- Ensure consistency in educational programming and curriculum, supporting continuity with regular school year programming
- Support and consultation for individual students and families in the Connections programs, as determined by IEP teams and ESY staff
- Assistance with data collection to determine the effectiveness of the Connections and ESY programming and autism and behavior support in the district
- Collaborate with parents, classroom teachers, para-educators, other support personnel, the Student Support Team, administrators, and outside agencies
- Collaborate with administrators in selecting and assigning SPED staff in Connections classrooms, including paraeducators
- Facilitate parent communication regarding special education issues occurring during ESY
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Special Education or their designee.

To assist the Special Education Administrators in coordinating special education Extended School Year (ESY) services for those students with social communication support needs served in the expanding Connections Program and ESY program.
