Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Speech Therapist to support individuals with developmental disabilities. This role focuses on improving communication, language, and functional speech skills through individualized treatment plans. Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices is preferred.

Schedule & Flexibility

  • Part-time, flexible scheduling

  • Sessions range from 30 minutes to 1 hour

  • Services typically provided 1–2 times per week per individual

  • Frequency and format (in-person, remote, or hybrid) depend on individual needs and goals

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess individuals’ communication, speech, and language abilities and develop personalized therapy plans

  • Implement evidence-based interventions to improve speech, language, articulation, and social communication skills

  • Support the use of AAC devices when appropriate and train individuals and caregivers on effective use

  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members

  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve goals

  • Educate caregivers and staff on strategies to support communication at home and in community settings

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Active New Jersey SLP license

  • Knowledge of AAC devices preferred

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Work Environment
Services are provided in community-based settings, including group homes, day programs, private residences, and virtually (remote or hybrid) depending on the participant’s needs.
