Are you a pharmacist looking for a meaningful outpatient role where you can make a direct impact on patient care while enjoying a consistent schedule and long-term stability? Eastern Shawnee Staffing Services, in partnership with Indian Health Services (IHS), is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Pharmacist for a rewarding contract opportunity at the Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center in Warm Springs, Oregon.  This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists who value patient-centered care, professional autonomy, and the chance to serve an underserved community in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Start Date: July/August (credentialing and background clearance may take up to 90 days)


Schedule: Full-time | Day Shift
Hours: Typically 40 hours per week | Outpatient Only, Monday - Friday 8 hour shifts

 No Weekends and No Holidays
Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Contract Length: Up to 1 year with extension options
Location: Warm Springs, Oregon

Position Overview

The Outpatient Pharmacist will provide pharmaceutical services focused on medication safety, patient education, and collaborative outpatient care within the Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center.


What You’ll Do

  • Dispense medications accurately and in compliance with federal and state regulations 
  • Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential interactions 
  • Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, dosing, and treatment plans 
  • Collaborate with providers and healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes 
  • Monitor patient drug therapies and provide clinical recommendations as needed 
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system 
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and safety standards 
  • Support quality patient care in a collaborative outpatient healthcare setting

Additional Details

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree 
  • Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in any U.S. state or territory 
  • Previous outpatient or ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred
  • Minimum 1–2 years of pharmacist experience (outpatient or hospital preferred)
  • Current BLS certification (preferred)
  • Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills
  • Experience with EHR systems
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to pass a federal security clearance
  • Required immunizations must be up to date
