RESUME WRITER (CONTRACT ROLE)

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are actively expanding our fast-growing team and are looking for experienced writers, particularly those with expertise in resume writing.

As a valued member of our resume writing team, you will have several opportunities to create and enhance career-related documentation for clients across the US. Based on your experience level, this may include writing and optimizing resumes and cover letters, providing LinkedIn profile optimization, and creating other career documents. For our more experienced writers, there will also be opportunities to offer personalized career consulting, interview preparation, and other job search and application assistance.

Our goal is to offer flexible, remote work opportunities for writers who are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality results. 

AS A RESUME WRITER, YOU WILL:

• Be assigned a company email address for all communication with clients you choose to work with, management, and other TopStack team members. 
• While some packages involve phone communication, you have full discretion over job assignments and can choose to only accept roles that align with your experience, ability to meet preferred deadlines, and capacity to accommodate communication requests beyond email.
• Develop and refine resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles, along with providing other career services, as applicable.
• Have access to a variety of resources designed to ensure your success, including writers' guides, video tutorials, and dedicated support from the TopStack team.

COMMITMENT & COMPENSATION 

We are actively seeking resume writers that have the capacity to request/complete a minimum of 10-20 orders per month. As a fully remote company, you control your schedule and workload based on your ability to respond to clients and fulfill services in a timely manner. You are able to request jobs based on your availability and interest/experience in meeting each client’s career goals. 

PAY RATES / SCHEDULE

Resume Writers are compensated based on the number of orders you complete. Payments are made on a weekly basis (Mondays) for all orders completed and paid for by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on Sundays. We offer competitive rates, but do not currently post them publicly. Selected candidates will receive an outline of pay rates and other FAQs prior to hiring. We have part-time and full-time positions available. On average, our full-time writers typically earn between $3,000 - $6,000 per month. Our part-time writers typically earn between $1,500 - $3,000 per month. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in areas of written/verbal communication, time management, and computer literacy.
• 1+ years of experience in resume writing OR 3+ years of cumulative experience in one or more of the following areas: professional writing, Human Resources (hiring), career services/consulting, or talent acquisition/recruiting.
• Knowledge of ATS, the U.S. job market, and current career best practices.
• Experience working remotely with a high degree of autonomy, flexibility, and accountability.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Career related certifications (e.g., NRWA, CDI, CPRW, CRS, etc.)
