Bishop Dunne Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and reliable Part-Time School Custodian to join our facilities team immediately.

The School Custodian plays a key role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This position supports the school’s values by ensuring that the campus environment reflects the respect, care, and stewardship central to our Catholic mission.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of gymnasium, offices, locker rooms, restrooms, and hallways.
- Monitor restroom supplies.
- Respond promptly to spills, accidents, or urgent cleaning needs.
- Ensure proper collection and disposal of trash in accordance with local regulations.
- Identify and correct unsafe conditions; promptly report non-correctable issues to the supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior custodial or facilities experience preferred.
- Ability to understand cleaning, maintenance, and safety instructions.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk for long periods, and perform manual labor.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and safely handle cleaning supplies.
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
- Must be able to pass the required background check and comply with the Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Program.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
Work Environment
- Active school campus with frequent interaction with students, faculty, and visitors.
- Primary work hours are weekday evenings (Monday-Friday); occasional weekend hours may be required for school events.
- Work involves frequent walking, standing, climbing, lifting, and carrying.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and cleaning chemicals.
