Job Title: Regional IT Lead
Reports To: Senior Manager, IT
Location: Grande Prairie, AB (regional travel required)
Position Summary:
Source Energy Services is seeking a Regional IT Lead to support and manage information technology services across multiple operational sites. This is a hands-on, field-based role responsible for delivering reliable IT support, maintaining local infrastructure, and acting as an IT liaison for assigned locations.
The successful candidate will balance technical expertise with strong customer and stakeholder engagement, ensuring technology services align with operational needs while adhering to corporate standards, security requirements, and best practices.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Regional & Site Oversight
- Serve as an IT point of contact for designated regional sites
- Support site leadership by ensuring technology services are available, reliable, and fit for purpose
- Maintain awareness of site-level IT risks, issues, and improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with established IT policies, standards, and processes
Customer & Stakeholder Support
- Provide professional, customer-focused IT support to end users
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Coordinate IT activities with internal teams, site personnel, and third-party vendors
- Manage expectations and follow through on commitments related to IT services
Technical & Field Operations
- Deliver on-site and remote desktop and end-user support
- Perform user onboarding and offboarding, device provisioning, and asset management
- Administer user accounts and devices within Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Intune
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networking, connectivity, VPN, and local infrastructure
- Support and maintain site IT systems including network, wireless, and security-related technologies
- Participate in IT projects, site deployments, upgrades, and technology lifecycle activities
Travel & Availability
- Travel to regional sites, primarily within 3hr driving distance of Grande Prairie
- Provide on-site support where issues cannot be resolved remotely
- Participate in occasional after-hours or on-call support, as required by operational needs
Who We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support, infrastructure, or field-based IT roles
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and ability to collaborate with a broader IT team
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience supporting:
- Windows-based operating systems
- Microsoft 365 and Exchange
- Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Device management solutions such as Microsoft Intune
- Working knowledge of networking concepts, including switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure
- Effective troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving abstract
- Ability and willingness to travel as required
What Will Help You Succeed:
- Experience supporting security or camera systems;
- Hands-on exposure to network cabling and wireless deployments;
- Experience in industrial, operational, or multi-site environments;
- Exposure to HMI/PLC or production-related systems;
