The Role
As Financial Accountant, you’ll maintain strong working relationships across the ALS Group to deliver accurate corporate accounting, month-end reporting, and treasury support. You’ll work closely with corporate teams and Regional Financial Controllers to ensure compliance, consistency, and smooth day-to-day financial operations across ALS entities. This role is key to providing reliable reporting, supporting cash management, and upholding strong financial practices across the business.

The Day to Day
In this role, you’ll:

  • Complete month-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly reporting packs and Profit & Loss analyses for corporate divisions
  • Maintain the chart of accounts, fixed asset register, and corporate reconciliations
  • Assist with treasury functions, cash management, and intercompany transfers
  • Review and reconcile corporate credit card and travel card transactions
  • Prepare group CAPEX reports and monitor compliance with approvals and policies
  • Support corporate reporting for subsidiaries, including intercompany reconciliations
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across financial processes, policies, and reporting
  • Collaborate with corporate teams to resolve accounting or system-related issues
  • Provide ad hoc support for audits, projects, and system implementations

The Essentials
We’re looking for a capable and detail-oriented finance professional who brings:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Working towards CPA or CA preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems (Pronto, Oracle, Dynamics, or equivalent)
  • Strong Excel skills for data reconciliation and financial analysis
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
