    Substitute Teacher

    Position Purpose
    Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through covering classes where a teacher is absent.
     
     
    Essential Functions
     
    • Implement activities and lessons in place my the teacher of record.
    • Supervise students in the classroom and common areas of the building.
    • Assist with assigned duties.
    Additional Duties
    Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other campus administration.

    Equipment
    Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.

    Travel Requirements
    Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

    Qualifications Profile
    • Certification/License:
    • Texas State Certification as an Teacher or relevant experience to be certified under the District of Innovation plan.
    Education
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
    Experience
    Successful prior teaching or volunteering experience preferred.
