The Head Girls’ Basketball Coach is responsible for leading and managing the high school girls’ basketball program. This includes planning practices, coaching student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship, and helping student-athletes develop skills, teamwork, and character.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and conduct practices and games for the varsity girls’ basketball team.
- Teach fundamental basketball skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team events.
- Develop game strategies and evaluate player performance.
- Coordinate with assistant coaches to support the entire girls’ basketball program.
- Ensure athletes follow school and athletic policies, including academic eligibility and conduct expectations.
- Communicate with players, parents, school staff, and administration as needed.
- Maintain and inventory equipment and uniforms.
- Promote a positive and respectful team culture.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.
Compensation:
- Stipend position per district/co-op agreement
