The Head Girls’ Basketball Coach is responsible for leading and managing the high school girls’ basketball program. This includes planning practices, coaching student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship, and helping student-athletes develop skills, teamwork, and character.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and conduct practices and games for the varsity girls’ basketball team.
• Teach fundamental basketball skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team events.
• Develop game strategies and evaluate player performance.
• Coordinate with assistant coaches to support the entire girls’ basketball program.
• Ensure athletes follow school and athletic policies, including academic eligibility and conduct expectations.
• Communicate with players, parents, school staff, and administration as needed.
• Maintain and inventory equipment and uniforms.
• Promote a positive and respectful team culture.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.

Compensation:

• Stipend position per district/co-op agreement
