Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Strategy Manager at NBME® is responsible for facilitating and at times leading elements of planning and strategy management across the organization. The incumbent will work closely with leaders across the organization throughout the strategy planning and execution governance process including preparing for and coordinating key meetings with executive leadership. This individual will partner with colleagues across functions to foster alignment with the strategy.

This role has been designated as primarily remote, meaning it requires little to no onsite attendance. While this role can be designated as remote, you are offered the flexibility to select if you prefer to work primarily remotely, hybrid, or onsite. We're open to considering candidates within 50 miles of our office location in Philadelphia, PA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage strategy planning and execution governance process by preparing for and coordinating Strategy Refresh processes and Strategy Review Meetings (SRMs), as well as managing necessary communication after each meeting.
  • Partner with subject matter experts across the organization to gather relevant data and compile analysis to create he strategy review reports.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of performance analysis submitted by objective teams.
  • Take the lead and key facilitator role in specified tasks allocated as part of the Office of Strategy Management (OSM), e.g., strategy-related communications, measuring progress toward strategic objectives.
  • Lead thinking in content or process improvement/development for specifically assigned tasks.
  • Develop, drive and/or influence execution of change management activities for strategic initiatives and other organization-wide changes.
  • Provide consultation and expertise on organization-wide change activities leveraging NBME change management principles.
  • Partner with other functions on strategy alignment and other strategic initiatives, e.g., Enterprise Risk Management.
  • Project manage all phases of special and/or new initiatives as assigned to set timelines and quality standards, engaging appropriate program and operational areas as necessary.
  • Coordinate closely with other units within OSM

  • In-depth process improvement experience
  • Strong data analytics (quantitative and qualitative) and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Ability to work in an agile, flexible environment with multiple competing priorities

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years experience in roles with progressive responsibility
  • 3-5 years experience in project management, strategic planning, and change management
  • In-depth experience working directly with, influencing, and facilitating decision making processes of executive teams.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation we are offering for this position is at $105,965-$130,000/year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
