AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM ASSISTANT

 

DESCRIPTION

Assists in the daily administration of the South San Antonio ISD After School Program.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist students in completing daily homework assignments.


• Check to make sure homework is done correctly.


• Help record and maintain the student information.


• Supervise and monitor participants during hand washing and bathroom breaks.


• Supervise and monitor participants during indoor programming and free play.


• Supervise and monitor participants during outdoor programming and free play.


• Provide appropriate First-Aid to participants as the need arises.


• Set up for nutritional snacks.


• Clean up areas after snacks.


• Clean up after participants have left.


• Other duties as assigned by After School Program Facilitator.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to read, interpret and communicate information effectively.


• Ability to work alone or in groups.


• Ability to solve practical problems.


• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.


• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma.


• One-year experience in childcare.

 

Days:  Monday-Friday

Hours:  3:00-6:00 pm

Pay:  $18/hour

Sites:  Armstrong ES, Five Palms ES, Benavidez ES, Hutchins ES, Carrillo ES, Price ES
