We are looking for an Assembler 1 to join our Hengstler Dynapar team on 1st shift. This role focuses on hands-on mechanical build and basic electronic testing within a production assembly cell, supporting high‑quality, precision manufacturing.
1st Shift | 7:00am–3:30pm
Your Impact:
- Performs hands-on mechanical assembly of precision components and subassemblies within a production assembly cell.
- Builds products to specification using standard work instructions, bills of materials, and basic mechanical drawings as required.
- Operates a variety of assembly tools and equipment including small hydraulic presses, air drivers, drill presses, winders, and electronic testing equipment.
- Performs basic functional and electrical tests to verify product performance and ensure established quality standards are met.
- Verifies correct fit, alignment, and function of components throughout the build process.
- Rotates between tasks and work cells as directed by the Supervisor or Cell Leader to support production flow.
- Packages completed assemblies for shipment according to work instructions.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area and follows all safety and quality procedures.
- Actively participates in continuous improvement activities within the assembly cell.
Qualifications:
Skills & Experience
- Proficient English reading and writing skills; ability to read and comprehend MSDS sheets and standard work instructions.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an assembly or lean manufacturing environment preferred.
- Manual dexterity and basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and basic electronic testing equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly exert up to 20 lbs. of force and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending at the waist and standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to move about the work area to accomplish tasks.
Pay Range
The hourly pay rate for this position is $16.50.
