MAIN GOAL

The Floor Leader is responsible for overseeing day-to-day floor operations, ensuring smooth workflow, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting team members to achieve, times of execution and schedule compliance to carry out every project in MOCA successfully. Travel Required: 100 % of the time. 

RESPONSABILITIES

  1. Analyze and define the work methodology (with the PM) to use during the project. 

  1. Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy.  

  1. Organize, update, and control the Inventory when requested by the client (Kitting and Sorting) 

  1. Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand. 

  1. Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventories, keeping a record of the data. 

  1. Monitor delivery schedules and customer orders to ensure all inventory is properly received. This includes conducting on-site walkthroughs and investigating any missing items. 

  1.  Receive deliveries on-site and coordinate the designated unloading area. Ensure all items are fully unloaded from the trucks. 

  1. Communicate and file claims when defective products are discovered and/or quantity discrepancies happen with the Project Manager or directly to the client.  

  1. Coordinate with customer service and logistics departments  

  1. Check date-sensitive products for expiration and facilitate removal or transfer of product as needed. 

  1. Develop and train your work team, ensuring quality, assertiveness, and standardization of processes. 

  1. Establish trusted relationships with suppliers to ensure quality service and cost-effective deals  

  1. Coordinate the "close out" of the project in the Inventory area. 

  1. Contribute to the effectiveness of the Management System and comply with all procedures and policies established for the quality management system. 

  1. Ensure the delivery of the necessary reports for the delivery - receipt of the required items at the work site to ensure the expected result.  

  1. Ensure a safe workplace that complies with OSHA, MOCA and Client's protocols and standards. 

 

EDUCATION LEVEL:

High School diploma, associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, business administration, or related field.

Certifications or Accreditations:

• Certified Construction Manager or Certified Professional Constructor preferred.  

• OSHA – 10 or OSHA – 30 (if needed) • Heavy machinery (forklift, scissor lift).

• Fire extinguisher /Fire safety preferred.

• CPR and first aid. • General contractor license preferred.

• Certifications or accreditations related to leadership or management. Effective experience:

• 2 to 3 years of experience as a Skilled labor or in a similar role.

• Experience in the leadership of construction team. Knowledge required:

• Fluent English mandatory, Spanish preferred

• 5S methodology preferred 

• Microsoft Office tools.

• Proper lecture of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Ability to think critically and solve problems.  Willingness to seek continuous improvement of processes. Negotiation skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively motivate and inspire team members.
