Company Description:

Who We Are

Madden & Gilbert Physical Therapy exists to get people back to normal, naturally. We have six locations across Central Pennsylvania, and our focus is simple: decrease pain and help people return to doing what they love.

Many of our patients come to us after other care has failed—after being told they’ve hit their maximum benefit, after feeling like they’ve run out of options. What we hear again and again is that our clinic is different. Patients tell us, “This is the best I’ve felt.” They come in feeling hopeless, and they leave playing with their grandchildren again. They return to the sport they thought they’d lost. That’s what we measure our success by—not how many patients we can see, but whether our patients graduate and get back to doing the things they love.

We invest in the tools to make that happen: Class IV Laser Therapy (LightForce), RunDNA Gait Analysis, and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). But great technology only matters when it’s in the hands of great therapists. That’s where you come in.

What It’s Like Here

Our Hershey location has five clinicians and a small support team. The energy is upbeat and social, and the common thread is that everyone here genuinely cares about doing excellent work. We collaborate. We support each other. We push each other to be better—and we celebrate when a patient reaches their goals and graduates.

We also understand that there is more to life than being a PT. Helping patients is deeply rewarding and fulfilling—and so is being present for your family, taking care of yourself, and having the space to enjoy your own life. We believe great patient care and a great quality of life go hand in hand. Wherever you are in life—whether you’re in a growth phase or in a season where protecting your time with family is the priority—we respect that.

Job Description:

Maybe you love outpatient orthopedic PT, but full-time has started to wear on you.

Maybe you stepped away to be with your family, and you’re ready to come back to the work you love—but on your terms. Not 40 hours. Not a hospital. Not a SNF. You want to treat ortho patients, do meaningful work, and still have the energy to be present for the rest of your life.

Or maybe you’re a seasoned therapist who knows exactly how good you are, and you’re looking for a part-time role where clinical quality isn’t something you have to fight for—it’s the expectation.

If any of that sounds like you, we’d love to talk.

The Role

We’re hiring a part-time physical therapist (10–20 hours per week) with a set, predictable schedule. If you ever want to pick up additional hours when other therapists are out, that option is there—but it’s never expected. There may be opportunity for more hours in the future as we grow, but there’s no pressure to take them.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Treating a primarily outpatient orthopedic caseload focused on decreasing pain and helping patients return to what they love
  • Working with some balance and vestibular cases as well
  • Carrying a smaller, manageable patient load due to part-time status
  • Utilizing advanced clinical technology including LightForce Laser, RunDNA Gait Analysis, and HBOT
  • Tailoring every session to your patient’s specific goals—and measuring success by whether they reach them
Qualifications:

Who You Are

You don’t need to check every box. But the right person probably sees themselves in most of these:

  • You have at least one year of outpatient orthopedic experience
  • You have a strong manual therapy skill set—or if you haven’t had much exposure yet, you’re genuinely excited to learn
  • You thrive in a collaborative, supportive team environment
  • You care about outcomes and take pride in building real relationships with your patients
  • You want to keep growing as a clinician, not just maintain
  • You bring energy to the work because you find it meaningful—not because someone is watching
Additional Information:

What We Offer

Even part-time, we invest in our people:

  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
  • Continuing education support
  • Mentorship from experienced clinicians
  • In-house Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) certification courses—provided by our practice, not something you have to chase down and pay for on your own
  • Access to advanced technology that most outpatient clinics simply don’t have
  • A culture that values your time, your growth, and your life outside the clinic
