Job Description
Position Overview:
The Supporting Project Manager plays a key role in executing cost reduction and operational efficiency initiatives across the business. This role partners with program leaders, functional teams, and finance to help drive initiatives from planning through implementation while ensuring milestones, deliverables, and value realization remain on track.
The role is highly execution-focused and supports large transformation programs aimed at reducing costs, improving operational efficiency, and delivering measurable financial impact. The Supporting Project Manager ensures will aid with coordination, clear tracking of progress, and effective communication of results.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Project Execution & Delivery
Support the execution of cost reduction and operational efficiency initiatives across multiple initiatives
Assist in developing project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Coordinate activities across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and progress.
Track initiative progress and escalate risks, issues, and delays when necessary.
Maintain project documentation including status updates, action logs, and decision tracking.
2. Program & Workstream Coordination
Partner with program leaders and workstream owners to ensure initiatives remain on track.
Facilitate regular working sessions and progress reviews with initiative owners.
Support preparation of executive-ready updates on progress, risks, and achievements.
Ensure dependencies across projects are identified and actively managed.
3. Financial Tracking & Value Capture
Track progress against cost reduction targets and financial commitments.
Work closely with finance partners to validate savings and ensure accurate reporting.
Maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor initiative performance.
Help document realized benefits and support value capture reporting.
4. Governance & Reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly program updates for leadership.
Support governance routines including steering committees and project reviews.
Maintain centralized tracking of initiatives, milestones, risks, and decisions.
Ensure consistent use of program management tools and reporting templates.
5. Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with initiative owners and functional leaders.
Help ensure accountability for deliverables and timelines.
Facilitate collaboration across teams working on cost improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements:
1. Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
2. Experience
2-5 years of experience in project management, program coordination, consulting, operations, or transformation initiatives.
Experience in development, procurement, engineering, global supply chain and/or finance
Experience supporting cost reduction, operational improvement, or transformation programs is strongly preferred.
Experience working in cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders.
3. Skills
Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
Ability to track multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to track financial and operational metrics.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
4. Tools & Capabilities
Experience with project management tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, Monday, etc.)
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience building dashboards, trackers, or status reports.
Familiarity with value tracking, cost savings reporting, or business case tracking is a plus.
