About Bitdeer:

Bitdeer is a world-leading technology company for Bitcoin mining and AI cloud.

Bitdeer is committed to providing comprehensive Bitcoin mining solutions for its customers. Apart from designing industry-leading ASIC chips and manufacturing mining rigs, the Group handles complex processes involved in computing across the value chain. This includes equipment procurement, transport logistics, datacenter design and construction, equipment management, and network and facility operations. Bitdeer also offers advanced cloud capabilities to customers with a high demand for artificial intelligence.

Headquartered in Singapore, Bitdeer operates globally with a diversified 3 GW energy portfolio, and deploys Bitcoin mining and HPC datacenters in the United States, Bhutan, Norway, Canada, Malaysia, and Ethiopia.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for daily inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and Preventative Maintenance (PM) of SMT line equipment (Mounters, Reflow Ovens, Screen Printers, AOI/SPI, etc.) to ensure optimal operational status.
  • Provide rapid response to equipment alarms; analyze root causes (mechanical, electrical, software); perform independent repairs or coordinate vendor support to minimize downtime.
  • Establish equipment failure databases and develop preventive maintenance systems to reduce MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and recurring failure rates.
  • Program and optimize mounter software (component libraries, panel data, nozzle allocation) based on product requirements to ensure placement accuracy (CPK ≥ 1.33).
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers to adjust reflow profiles and solder paste printing parameters to mitigate defects such as cold solder joints or component shifting.
  • Enhance OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness ≥ 80%) through periodic calibration (CPK, AOI detection precision) and hardware adjustments.
  • Lead product changeovers (NPI/Mass Production), ensuring changeover time is kept ≤ 30 minutes to minimize production interruptions.
  • Analyze equipment-related defects (e.g., soldering issues, placement offset) and implement corrective actions (e.g., adjusting placement pressure or vacuum values).
  • Monitor operational KPIs (e.g., attrition/reject rate ≤ 0.3%, downtime), generate periodic analysis reports, and drive continuous improvement (Kaizen).
  • Monitor inventory levels of consumables and critical parts (motors, cylinders, belts); initiate procurement requests and verify spare part performance to control costs.
  • Drive spare part localization or identify alternative sourcing solutions to reduce maintenance expenditures.
  • Participate in the validation of new equipment and processes (e.g., Mini LED or High-precision BGAplacement) and provide feasibility reports.
  • Assist in the implementation of automation solutions (e.g., auto-loading AGVs, M2M equipment integration) to reduce manual intervention.
  • Author Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and troubleshooting guides; support ISO audits and compliance checks.
  • Adhere to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards; identify hazards (e.g., high-temperature zones, E-stop functionality) and execute timely rectifications.
  • Maintain meticulous maintenance logs, spare parts lists, and calibration reports to ensure full data traceability.

How you will stand out:

  • Associate degree or above in Mechanical, Electronics, Automation, or related fields. Minimum 3 years of SMT equipment maintenance experience, with a proven track record of independently resolving complex failures (e.g., component attrition/misfeeds, reflow oven temperature anomalies).
  • Experience in new equipment introduction (NPI) or automation upgrade projects is preferred.
  • Proficient in SMT equipment principles (e.g., GKG printers, Panasonic mounters, Heller reflow ovens); skilled in equipment programming and calibration.
  • Proficient in SPC and Six Sigma tools for data analysis; capable of DOE (Design of Experiments).
  • Strong hands-on ability and logical thinking; able to adapt to shift work or high-intensity work environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to drive cross-departmental problem-solving.
  • Proficient in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) and capable of communicating in Chinese. U.S. Visa holders are preferred.

What you will experience working with us:

  • A culture that values authenticity and diversity of thoughts and backgrounds;
  • An inclusive and respectable environment with open workspaces and exciting start-up spirit;
  • Fast-growing company with the chance to network with industrial pioneers and enthusiasts;
  • Ability to contribute directly and make an impact on the future of the digital asset industry;
  • Involvement in new projects, developing processes/systems;
  • Personal accountability, autonomy, fast growth, and learning opportunities;
  • Attractive welfare benefits and developmental opportunities such as training and mentoring.
