Job Description

The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium is a non-profit Tribal health organization designed to meet the unique health needs of Alaska Native and American Indian people living in Alaska. Summary:
Under close supervision, provides clerical support including but not limited to answering phones, customer service, filing, and processing of paperwork for various departments on an on-call, as needed basis. This position is intended for those of Alaska Native and American Indian descent.

Responsibilities:

Job duties will vary dependent on assignment.

 

Assists in entry-level business office administration and support.

 

Greets and assists customers; answers phones and directs calls.

 

Performs basic filing and file retrieval to include logs, distributes and archives reports.

 

Makes copies and scans and files electronic documents.

 

Performs other duties as assigned.

Other information:

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS 

·        Knowledge general clerical skills.

·        Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices.

·        Knowledge of the Alaska Tribal Health System and the people it serves.

·        Knowledge of applicable computer system software programs and office equipment.

 

·        Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing various software including electronic spreadsheets and database applications.

·        Skill in working independently, multitasking, prioritizing projects, and meeting deadlines when required.

·        Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others.

·        Skill in critical thinking and adaptability.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

A high school diploma or GED equivalent.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION

Non-supervisory - No experience required.
