    Description:
    The Cumberland Valley School District is seeking a highly qualified and student-centered Mathematics Teacher for Mountain View Middle School. The successful candidate will deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that supports student achievement and fosters critical thinking, problem solving, and mathematical reasoning. This position requires a commitment to collaboration, continuous professional growth, and meeting the diverse learning needs of all students.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Planning and delivering effective mathematics instruction aligned to Pennsylvania Academic Standards
    • Utilizing data-informed instructional practices and formative assessment to support student learning
    • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and high expectations
    • Willingness to work as part of a grade-level team
    • Collaborating with colleagues in professional learning communities (PLCs)
    • Integrating instructional technology and best practices in mathematics education
    • Communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff
    • Participating in professional development and school-based initiatives
    • Thorough knowledge of the physical and psychological aspects of secondary school aged children.
    • The professional candidate(s) selected for this assignment understands and agrees that they may be required to teach in a blended or online format as requested by administration.
       

    Qualifications:

    • Active and valid Middle Level Mathematics (4-8) or Secondary (7-12) Mathematics Pennsylvania Teaching Certification
