Aspen Trace is now hiring a Full-time Activities Staff. We offer daily and weekly pay options as well as great benefits!  Must be able to rotate holidays and weekends.

About the Role

The Activities Staff for Memory Care at Aspen Trace plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents with memory impairments. This position focuses on creating and implementing engaging activities that promote cognitive stimulation, social interaction, and emotional well-being. The staff member will work closely with residents to understand their individual preferences and needs, ensuring that activities are tailored to their abilities. By fostering a supportive and enriching environment, the Activities Staff will help residents maintain their dignity and independence. Ultimately, this role contributes to a holistic approach to memory care, making a significant impact on the lives of residents and their families.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and lead a variety of activities that cater to the interests and abilities of residents with memory care needs.
  • Conduct regular assessments of residents to determine their preferences and adapt activities accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to resident care and engagement.
  • Document participation and progress of residents in activities, providing feedback to the care team.
  • Foster a warm and inviting atmosphere that encourages residents to participate and socialize.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with individuals with memory impairments or in a similar care setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in therapeutic recreation or a related field.
  • Experience in developing and implementing activity programs for seniors.
