Position Summary

The Medical Assistant (MA) / Patient Access Representative provides clinical and administrative support in our outpatient clinics on an as-needed basis. This role requires professionalism, initiative, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

In this dual role, the MA/Patient Access Representative will:

  • Assist providers during patient visits as needed
  • Obtain and record vital signs
  • Perform basic laboratory functions within scope of practice
  • Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Work independently while maintaining integrity, efficiency, and attention to detail
  • Perform patient registration and related access functions
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to meet and exceed patient expectations
  • Support safe, high-quality care and contribute to overall patient satisfaction

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Current BLS certification required
  • Medical Assistant program completion required
