Job Description

Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team at Prospect Heights Middle as a full-time CTE - Technology instructor. This role involves teaching students essential skills in technology and preparing them for future careers in various tech-related fields. The ideal candidate will foster a dynamic learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among students.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote technology literacy.
- Teach a variety of technology-related subjects, including but not limited to computer programming, digital media, robotics, and information technology.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to integrate technology across the curriculum and support interdisciplinary projects.
- Maintain an organized and safe classroom environment that encourages hands-on learning and experimentation.
- Stay current with technological advancements and incorporate relevant tools and resources into the curriculum.
- Facilitate after-school clubs or programs focused on technology and innovation.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive educational community.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in technology education.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Technology Education or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of current technology trends, tools, and educational resources.
- Experience in teaching or working with middle school students is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and software applications.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for fostering student engagement in technology.


**Salary Scale based on the 2025-2026 school year.
