Job Description:
Billing and Collection Specialist
The ideal candidate will have great communication, strong people skills and a positive attitude. They will be a collaborative team player who is solution-oriented, able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and have a high sense of urgency.
Multi-tasking is essential in this role as billing representatives make a real difference to their customers and the company. In this role, you will learn how to provide over-the-phone account and payment support services.
This position is in-person
Schedule: M-F 8 am - 5 pm
Pay: $14.50-16/hr depending on experience
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage a high volume of incoming calls
Assist customers who have billing inquires and/or are calling to make a payment/update payment method
Assist with questions related to price increases
Educate customer on past due balances and set up payment arrangements as needed
Apply credits to customer accounts as needed
Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
Assist with other billing department duties

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
No experience required, but previous collections experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
