Job Description

The Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism (https://medicine.vumc.org/diabetes-endocrinology-and-metabolism) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) in Nashville, TN, has an exciting opportunity for a board-certified/eligible endocrinologist as a clinician-educator faculty member at Vanderbilt University.

We have a rich tradition of clinical, investigative, and training excellence. The Division has over 25 faculty and over 50 staff members, who participate in a wide range of clinical programs and clinical and basic science research. The Division provides in-patient and out-patient care at two hospitals, Vanderbilt University Hospital and the Nashville Veterans Administration Hospital. We strive for excellence in patient care, and this has been recognized by our ranking as one of the best programs in Diabetes and Endocrinology by the US News and World Report. Training the next generation of physicians and scientists is a major part of our mission and involves an Endocrinology Training Program and a Medical Student Research Program.

The physician must be a board-certified/eligible endocrinologist and can be at any career stage with interest or expertise in bone biology, male hypogonadism, endocrine oncology, transplant endocrinology, diabetes, pituitary disorders, adrenal disease, population health, genetics, implementation science, or quality improvement.
